A very plain restaurant. Kokbab was normal. I don’t know if it was just the day I went, but the soup smelled a lot. The free Korean coffee service after the meal was good. I want to go there one more time and try again to see if the smell was my own misunderstanding.
Very authentic korean food that will soothe your soul, been here 4 times since i discovered this lovely place! menu range is quite small but it is all i need. i got the mixed blood sausage and pork soup twice, and the blood sausage soup only twice depends on my craving. Free coffee from the coffee machine also, the aunty serving us is really nice and friendly. Would come back again anytime soon even though its quite far from where i live
Prettty bad customer service. Just shake head to customers who’s asking for the table. No comment or direction how long the waiting time is. Just ignore and waiting for the customer to leave. Especially the old lady staff!!
Mr Lee’s Food serves Guk Bap, which is basically soup and rice. Actually, they only serve 2 kinds of guk bap, which are Soon Dae and Dwaeji. You can have a mixture of both. My family tried the Dwaeji gugbap, which was really nice on a cold autumn day. We didn’t try the soon dae guk bap as no one in the family actually fancies blood sausages…
They also serve soo yuk, which is poached pork belly.
In short, comfort food. Not the kind of food to impress your girlfriend or prospective in-laws or business partner, but the kind the whole family can enjoy with little fuss when it is cold. 🙂 We will definitely be back, but I guess the only dishes we will ever order from the restaurant is the dwaeji guk bap and the soo yuk.
