Went to Taste of Cantonese for lunch today with three others. The setting was comfortable, clean and pleasant. We had jelly fish with cucumber to start with, and thoroughly enjoyed the flavour and texture of the dish. The spring onion and ginger crab on noodle was nicely prepared. The crab was meaty and fresh. We also enjoyed a beef brisket rice noodle. Service was very friendly and attentive. We would return to try other dishes for sure.
The crab is ok, pretty fresh and well cooked as for frozen crabs. The price is decent, however the noodle base and other dishes are just too salty. It’s like dipping the dish into salt.
Great new Cantonese restaurant with classy finish, Sing Chilli crab dish was very good with noodles cooked to perfection better than Jumbo in Sing. Claypot chicken with mushrooms was also very tasty and generous. Service by Benjamin and Vivien was great. Will go again to try their other dishes.
One of my favorite place in melbourne. I highly recommend guys if living tho area or love Chinese food can definitely go there! Peking duck and crab are my favorite.
