Had dinner here, with a combination of roti bread with satay, sticky pork belly, and a massaman curry. Food was ok, however there was an unusual tangy taste we hadnt encountered at other Thai restaurants, which me and my partner werent fans of. On the whole a 3.0 seems about right

When we called to book, we were told that we must finish by 6.30 as its fully booked, we were like wow okay, when we went there, we understand why, their food were good, too bad the portion are small, and some are too sweet (i guess normal for thai palate), the one that disappoint us the most was the somtum, the variation were not too appetising and since all only steamed or boiled, the somtum taste should be stronger but it wasnt and it was not enough to eat all the rest of the side dishes. The pork shank was good but i still prefer the other thai resto in richmond who do awesome shank. But the rest of the food that we ordered exceeds our expectations. Service was meh, the waitress was not very attentive and never smile but at least she was fast to bring out our dishes.

Delicious Thai cuisine. Ingredients are fresh and the flavour is quite authentic. The space is beautifully decorated and a great spot to catch up with friends over a nice lunch. Each dish comes in a decent size portion that can be shared enjoyably between 2 or 3 people. The duck curry is pretty amazing. There are also a number of cocktails to choose from. Thai Alley is a refreshing change from the usual Melbourne brunch cafe scene. I would like something different than smashed avo for lunch, thank you.

Went there for a Saturday night with group of five. Beautiful interior but sitting was too crowded for our group. Dishes were presentable however very small serving even for 5 of us ladies; the amount of protein with each dish we ordered was extremely little. See that Tofu Pad Thai, we managed to find only 4 pieces of tiny tofu in it…… The roasted pork hock was extremely dry. Manager was notified and she apologise and gave us a discount, good customer service. Cocktails were amazing. For more foodie goodness follow my ig: emptystomach

We headed back to Thai Alley before seeing a movie with friends next door. Service still a little sketchy however the prawn betel leaf was an absolute mind blowing life changing experience. AMAZING. The fresh coconut, the peanuts it was utterly heavenly. At $9 for two we had to get six pieces for the four of us just so I could get a second one and I would have loved more were each bite not costing me $4.50. Still money pretty well spent I say.

We also tried the curry puffs and some perfect roti bread with peanut sauce. I ordered the pad see ew which was a delicious rendition. Im really pleased with this place particularly given its so close to home. Hasnt disappointed me yet

I was immediately blown away by this stellar set up, quite fancy for a suburban Thai spot. It was absolutely packed and the group in front of us was even turned away due to no reservation. Unfortunately the service is fundamentally lacking. We were asked for our order immediately upon sitting down so requested a few minutes and no one ever came back. Thirty minutes later we finally managed to flag someone down after several attempts, luckily the food didn’t take too long to arrive because by this stage we were starving.

At this point I was in the throes of an an existential crisis being Day 11 of diet. Food is my life and I just don’t know who I am without it healthy choices being so traumatically restrictive and all. I had to pass on the tasty looking spring rolls friends has ordered and resign myself to a chicken skewer. Sadly there wasn’t as much peanut sauce on it as I would have liked but that’s probably for the best weight loss wise.

I then had the grilled glazed salmon for main which was rather enjoyable and came with a zippy little garnish. The size of the fish was actually quite generous so I was fortunately pretty full by the time dessert arrived to the neighbouring table. A beautiful looking coconut panacotta. We spent about $40 pp which is kind of expensive for a local but it was thoroughly delicious and I don’t regret it for a moment given I’m still daydreaming of the betel

Pretty good Thai food. Green beans were soooo good. Cooked perfectly. Still had the light crunch 🙂 the masaman curry although very good I still prefer Paradai Thai in Carnegie. Next time Ill come back for the fried whole barramundi. Had food envy immediately it was served on next table haha

Had dinner here on a Sunday with 4 other friends. We ordered the rotti bread with some peanut sauce, pineapple fried rice, pork belly, duck curry, a fish dish (think it was barramundi) with apple salad, chicken satay skewers and pork skewers.

I really enjoyed the duck curry, the meat was tender and flavours were nice creamy yet still light. I liked how the dish had two pineapple ring slices and lychees in it- brings sweetness to the dish. The barramundi presentation was on point and the dish really caught our eyes when it arrived on the table. I liked how the fish were already portioned making it easy to share and eat. The best part of this dish however was the apple salad- it was so refreshing. We would love it if the apple salad was offered as a dish on its own on the menu!

The other dishes were ok but did not stand out to me. For desserts I had the coconut icecream which came in a generous tall glass with three scoops of icecream- I enjoyed it except for the underripe jackfruit pieces which were a tad bitter.

Overall , friendly service, decent food but a tad on the pricey side. 3.5/5
