The Firehouse has an interesting food setup. Instead of dining inside the restaurant, several food trucks are setup outside. There is plentiful seating in a heated undercover patio. I ordered the squid and chips from the Kraken Squid food truck. It was above average. The squid was fresh.
Went for dinner with some friends, not sure what has happened to this place, heard a lot of positive things about it, went in to get a seat for 4 of us, directed back outside and advised that they have food trucks, ordered a soft shell crab burger and a fish and chips and salad, food was actually alright but not sure if I feel happy getting food from food trucks when you wanted to go to a venue to eat in restaurant style, this would have been ok for a low key night thing, very weird experience
Faultless experience here. Potentially the best service I’ve ever had at a venue: friendly and attentive without seeming rushed or distracted. Food was excellent, delivered fast and reasonably priced. Good coffee (essential!).
Very little bad to say, really! If I was nitpicking I’d say the menu could be a little longer and daily specials or something wouldn’t hurt, but I’d really have to be trying to find anything wrong.
We’ll be back!
