The Grosvenor Hotel is the embodiment of Australian pub-like vibe and food. Offering an array of dining options that will cater to almost anyone’s needs, from Parmas, pizza, pasta, steaks and burgers, you get a true Australian choice here. From the outset of our visit, the attendant Colin was exceptional in care and service, always ensuring recommendations were given, and very conversational, helping us to feel very welcomed and at ease. Big compliments to him!
Today we ordered the Scotch fillet (300g) with mushroom sauce, and a chef special parmigiana with a special ham on top. The steak I had was good, cooked well and tender in all of the right places. The sauce was a little on the lighter side, but nonetheless added to the flavour of the steak. The parma was also good, tasty, with the cheese and ham complimenting the chicken well. The chips here are one of our favorites, perfectly crunchy in texture with a good taste that isn’t too battered or fatty either.
Overall we were very pleased with our experience at Grosvenor Hotel and would recommend it as a good evening dinner if you are in the area, or even a hearty lunch / meal in general!

I have previously dined at Grosvenor Hotel during a friend’s birthday function and was thoroughly blown away by the service and the food. Imagine having to deal with the whims and fancies of 20 odd diners, and successfully managing to please each and every one. It was thus when I revisted, my expectations were fairly high, and Grosvenor Hotel did not disappoint at all.
My partner and I started off the night with the most luxurious and velvety duck liver parfait, paired with buttery toasted brioche. The balsamic vinegar, celeriac and hazelnuts did wonders to balance out the richness of the parfait, by providing elements of tartness, crunch and also mild nuttiness to the dish.
For mains, we shared the rump cap and pork belly, with a side of charred broccoloni. Amazing is the only way to describe them. The medium rare rump cap was still pink, with hints of red and perfectly browned on the outside. In fact, the tender and juicy cut of meat didn’t need any sauces, the flavour of the meat spoke for itself. The pork belly was no less magnificent – crispy skin, succulent meat and just the right amount of fat. The pork rib croquette was delicious, and I wished there was more on the dish!
The dessert ended the meal on a high note. The Grosvenor Bombe was a delightful mix of flavours – zesty passion fruit, chocolatey and the slight sweetness from the meringue. The dark chocolate sauce made it even more luscious.
Both cocktails ordered were excellent, and even more excellent was the hospitality. The waitress that looked after us was welcoming and pleasant to chat with. The manager whom I recognised from before, was generous and accommodating, just as I remembered. The ever so attentive service meant that our glasses of water was topped up without fail.
Grosvenor Hotel has impressed me once again, and I’m excited to return for not just bistro dining but also its more casual pub fare and the burgers from the attached STKBB. Thank you very much for the invite!
