Recently we spent a wonderful Easter weekend in Rutherglen, staying upon a little houseboat moored in a billabong at Brimin, about 25 minutes from the main town of Rutherglen. Apart from the rest and relaxation of staying in the country and waking up with the sun, bushwalking, fishing and reading all day; of course, there was some good food to be eaten.
Jones Vineyard & Winery is one of the oldest and smallest wineries in Victoria and dates back to 1860. The winery has 10 hectares of vines, some of which were planted in 1905. The winery has been in the Jones family since 1927, and is currently owned and run by the brother and sister team of Arthur Jones and Mandy Jones.
