A light and bright corner cafe fitted out with natural wood, slate floors and chill out tunes filling the air. The staff were friendly and welcoming and there’s puppy friendly seating outside.
They have an all day menu that is vegan friendly and caters for kids, plus they are a good range of both smoothies and cocktails! winning!
The menu seemed to have a bit of an American flavour, including items like Chicken and Waffles with candied bacon crumb; and a Corn Bread Stack with grilled banana, apple and pistachio salsa and maple cream.
I’d never had anything like this before, and was intrigued by the concept of a savoury corn bread served as a sweet dish. It was indulgent without being too sickly sweet and I found it quite addictive.
The Chicken served up with the waffles was a good quality breast meat with a tasty skin. The waffles were soft and cheesy with a nice flavour from the herbs. After trying several versions of this soul food in American, we can definitively say this is chicken and waffles done right!
