All seaside towns should have a gelateria, and the people of Sandringham are fortunate to have such a nice little gelateria as their local. The family-run Cool Delights on Bay produces small batch artisan gelato and judging by the steady stream of happy customers on the day of our visit, it is very popular.
The best of the gelato at Cool Delights on Bay is excellent special mentions for the vegan black chocolate sorbet, the raspberry and the blood orange however some flavours we tried werent quite so successful.
Serving sizes were generous, and at $4.50 for a single scoop or $6 for two scoops, prices were quite reasonable for artisan gelato. Cool Delights also offers acai bowls, smoothies, cold pressed juices and cakes made to order.

I was out and about today showing my sister,nieces & nephews more around the beautiful area of Sandringham and all the different shops and hidden treasures you seem to overlook at times.
Well this here at Cool Delights is just that in a treasure in the year that I have lived in the area that I have missed in this fantastic place.
The Gelato here is truly outstanding and made fresh daily which is a nice touch with the wonderful services that we received.
I’ll be very much be looking forward to coming here as a regular over summer and bringing more people here.

Love it!!! The best flavours for the young and young at heart, including some gourmet varieties just for grown- ups; champagne and peach, gin and tonic, Campari and blood orange..
Kids are well catered for too, with different sizes of cones or cups. Birthday cakes can be made to order and my youngest son’s birthday party saw the cake devoured as soon as I could cut it!!
Simply delicious – I keep coming back for more!!! Absolutely LOVE this place!
It’s like eating gelato in Italy . Made daily on the premises .
