We called into Full Turn Cafe today on Bay Road Sandringham. The cafe is well hidden from the main road and is located under a residential apartment building along with a mini IGA. Once found though, the cafe interior is a lovely welcoming space with plenty of character and unique art, a large central share table and north facing windows to capture the winter rays. There was quite the rush on when we arrived for a noon brunch.

For brunch we ordered The Green Goddess Salad which was served with grilled chicken and fabulous mixed of green leaves, quinoa, pistachios, charred asparagus, avacado & green goddess sauce. A super fresh & healthy salad which had plenty of flavour to satisfy the tastebuds.

We also ordered the Chilli scrambled eggs on house made gluten free bread, these divine scrambled eggs had the perfect chilli kick, the heat is on point for brunch and oh the texture, these scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly for my taste and the crispy shallots and bacon take this dish up a notch, the house made GF bread was so good you wouldnt notice that it was gluten free.

For dessert we ordered the choc croissant French toast, this dish looked delicate and I want to say too pretty to eat, but Im so glad we did! A perfectly cooked caramelised pear with hints of cinnamon paired with the fresh strawberries & choc ganache pouring sauce made for a truly rich and enjoyable dish. The crunchy chocolate soil was a great element to finish on.

Drinks wise we both ordered a strong lattes made from the Inception Havana Moon blend. I was delicious, a great coffee blend with no after bitterness at all.

We had the largely watermelon based Berry Delight Juice that was not too sweet, not too acidic, a really lovely refreshing balance.

Thanks Pino & Josie for inviting us, your well thought out menu with well tried and tested dishes was thoroughly enjoyable from the first to the last bite. (Especially those scrambled eggs).
