Windy Sunday morning so not super busy. I got plain old poached eggs on toast which were over cooked on a piece of cheap multigrain toast. Even though my friend and I ordered one after the other, she was nearly finished her smashed avo before mine arrived.
Probably best to just use this place as a beach kiosk rather than a cafe
Very tasty curry and good coffee on a freezing day! Looking forward to coming again – especially in summer when I can sit outside and look at the water
Would have rated this higher :
1. if I hadn’t had to wait for the guy serving who thought washing the dishes was more important than serving me; and
2. With a quiet cafe during he week it took 20 mins to get a milkshake then another 10 mins later to get the toasted sandwich.
I cannot abide slow service unless it is obviously busy. After all my complaints about service, the milkshake was the best I’ve had & sanga not half bad either.
On a Beautiful Sunny crispy winters day a group of us headed to Sandy Beach Kiosk for an early lunch and the friendly, generous smiling service was matched by the generous servings of delightful food….what impressed me most was the CHAI and this isn’t a simple thing for in many cafes of Melbourne the Chai is either a powder or the amount could only fill a thimble. Instead a creamy large teapot of Karma Sutra Chai was served and when I offered to pay for some more hot soy milk to do a ‘top up’ I was given this for free with a BIG smile…
The food is light and colourful, the chorizo sausage tasty and though simple fare it was consistent.
Mostly though it was the ‘lightness’ of the service and for a bayside cafe that gets very busy this was lovely to experience….

Very tasty burger. Not the fastest of service but reasonably priced and an extremely juicy and tasty burger!
Better than sliced bread!. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and just generally a nice place to be!
My favourite local spot for a superb coffee in a unique waterfront location. Plenty of appealing meal/snack options and smiling staff with a leisurely beach vibe to get away from busy shopping strips in the area. Really love it here!
