Good solid Thai food.
We had take away beef Penang, fish cakes, spring rolls and roti. The roti is very nice balance of chewy and flakey.
Will revisit.
This is probably the nicest Thai near Sandringham, with friendly staff and good honest Thai food. Generally worth grabbing a bottle of wine from one of the shops nearby and taking advantage of their reasonable corkage
Sook Sabai is kind of like that 50/1 outsider at the races that you don’t give much hope to win the race. But once in awhile an outsider gets up and it is the big winner of the race. This holds very true with this restaurant ! I’ve passed Sook Sabai countless times glancing in, but never going inside. Last night was different though and I’m so glad I did ! This place not only has incredible food, but the price is very affordable and it has an intimate cozy atmosphere. This place is truly a sight for sore eyes. I throughly enjoyed all the food that I tasted last night that I actually can’t wait to return again very soon. The service is fantastic too and very cheap on the byo corkage prices at $2 a head. I highly recommend this place to anyone going by my first experience.

Had the sook sabi curry tonight and it was delicious!!! Plus our regular faves of Tom Yum, pad see ewe, fried rice and roti!! This place rocks and exactly what Sandy needed

Eaten here a few times and had take out and loved it everytime 🙂 even happy to try new stuff here and even that’s been yummy!! A lovely family owned authentic thai restaurant with flavor!!! Well done 🙂
Slightly above average. Attended dinner there for four people. Green papaya salad, Yum duck salad and Sizzling beef (with pepper and onion) were the best dishes of the night. All three a bit spicy, especially Papaya salad, but full of flavour and quite enjoyable. Roti bread was very nice also. ‘Highly recommended by chef’ fish dish (deep fried with special Thai sweet chilli sauce) was a disappointment. The fish fillets were deep fried without any coating or batter and were quite dry and sauce not very distinctive and there wasn’t much of it. Thai fried rice with chicken was very average; you can get something like this at any Asian restaurant, but went well with all the dishes. The biggest disappointment was Sook Sabai Mixed entrees, which was a selection of spring rolls, fish cake, curry puffs and money bags. Very little flavour and all tasted like out of the packet from the supermarket freezer. Stir fry chicken with cashew nuts had very average flavour, chicken pieces were too large for a stir fry, sauce very indistinctive and there wasn’t much of it though the dish did come with a variety of different vegetables. The three dishes mentioned in the beginning (plus roti bread) did make the meal enjoyable but these were not enough to make us want to go back especially since we dont live in the area. The place was very small inside with only about 8 tables crammed in. The toilets required a walk through the kitchen and it felt quite uncomfortable going there but at least they were clean. Staff was quite friendly and meals were delivered reasonably fast.
