What a great little cafe. Love the industrial styling and layout. Great service and staff so lovely. Menu was great for selection and also quite different. The dish I ordered was made perfectly and served just a perfectly. A serious chilli hit! Coffee was good but not great!

I feel ride giving a bad review but just cannot believe these kind of places. Got in at 2:30 for lunch, I know it’s late but just had to work over lunchtime. Saw this place is open until 3:30 so expected to be able to get some lunch (although it said 3pm on their door so maybe the info on here is incorrect) en the kitchen was closed. Keeps on happening to me and hate it. Why oh why don’t they keep something on offer as long as they are open? Then if you are a true hospitable business you would think along of what you do have on offer. In a way happy they didn’t because I went up the road where the kitchen closed at 3pm and might have gotten there too late as well if the staff at The Odd Room would have chatted too long.

Excellent food and great coffee! Will definitely go back again to try the rest of the menu. Fresh, clean and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service.

The food was quite average but the coffee was good. The chef wouldn’t substitute fried eggs for poached eggs, which was bizarre, especially considering the cafe was near empty.

Been coming to Cheltenham since forever to visit my grandparents.Had to meet mum for brunch yesterday and just couldn’t come at the thought of Southland (yet again). After cruising Broadsheet I decided on The Odd Room.So so glad I did!Super easy to get to,plenty of parking and a really nice vibe inside. My reason for rating so high is the coffee!!Broadsheet gave a big nod to it so I was really excited about trying it (yes I am a coffee snob!).Delicious smooth creamy latte, not a hint of bitterness and you could really tell the barista knew his stuff!Normally I have a couple of sugars but when going for my second coffee I just didn’t need them.Brunch was pretty good,I had Parmesan panna cotta with confit cherry tomatoes and sage scrambled eggs.Mum had the chilli eggs.No super fancy standout items on the menu..would suggest a few more options for us veggo’s aside from the standard eggs your way or smashed avo.
Anyway..really glad I found this place, will be sure to drop by next time just for the caffeine hit.

Actually drove past this one day and the unique building with grey and green colours caught our attention so we drove back to check this place out!

Inside was another example of the new hipster-style trend to renovate and transform an old warehouse store building into a modern, colourful and funky cafe.

The interior is very nice with low hanging large light bulbs that accompanies the colour scheme of the light teal features in contrast with the brown’s of the widen furniture and the walls. One thing to mention is the chairs are a bit hard and a little uncomfortable and could do with some cushioning!

We ordered a cappuccino and a chai latte with the chilli prawn linguine and the ‘hangover’ which is a house made baked beans, smoked chorizo, bacon, pork and fennel sausage, potato rosti and fried eggs served with toast. We also ordered the roast veggie focaccia and a sausage roll.

The dishes came out pretty quickly however we didn’t realise house spicy the chilli prawn linguine would actually be and we struggled to eat it. We mentioned it to the the waitress who brought us over a takeaway container to pack it up and we ordered a roast veggie focaccia instead. The focaccia was nice, but when it was heated up, the bread became a little soggy because of the veggies instead as this was already prepared in the display cabinet. The hangover was different to the type of breakfast I was used to. It was very thick and heavy which made the meal very filling. The baked beans went well with the egg and the potato rosti.
After this we had a sausage roll to nibble on and this was not very nice, the meat was dry and chunky and had an odd taste to it.
The coffee was amazing as was the chai latte.
We believe the specialised breakfast meals and the drinks are really good here but would not really ordered any of the pre made food in the display cabinet as we did not enjoy it.
