If ever a place deserved a BIG FAT ZERO – Win Ho would take the cake !!!
Please I advise you try anywhere else in Sandringham, even try the 2.0 fish and chip shop a few doors up from this place, isn’t as bad !!!
The Combination Chow Mein, Special Fried Rice, Win Ho Dims ( Fried or Steamed ) and Beef with Black Bean Sauce, if I had a blind fold test of what was what, I can honestly say I wouldn’t know what they were as I’ve never experienced such bland tasteless food in all my life of having Chinese food.
I mean how can they screw it up so badly ?!
Your curried combination soup is curry lukewarm water and well your banana fritter, did someone sit on it before it was put in the container ?
I could walk in and be the chef of the place and show them how to cook as I honestly do not make bland horrible Chinese food like that, which was the worse I’ve had the displeasure of experiencing ever.
Avoid at all costs here.
Also what’s up with the delivery service ? I live a 6 minute walk away and yes it was raining so that’s why I paid for the delivery, but come on over 2 hours ? What’s up with the shocking service ???
No excuses in the world for that as it’s inexcusable and that food was cold ? What’s up with that too ?!?!
The $72.80 I paid I wish I donated it to charity as I certainly wasted here.
Once again I advise you if you don’t want to be left highly disappointed, please try elsewhere.
Popped in last night (Saturday) for an easy local meal. This is the second time we have been in – finding it difficult to find a good local Chinese has been a struggle. They were clearly under the pump at near capacity, but fit the two of us in, and everything was yum. Good value for money, owners are lovely and novelty of it never fails to amuse. If you are expecting a local Flower Drum, this is not the venue for you.

2 hours after ordering and 2 phone calls with conflicting updates from the different staff members (and being hung up on twice) the food finally arrived and was missing several dishes. We called back and they said the meal we wanted wasn’t available and initially refused to refund for the missing orders. Then they offered to cook the missing dish (?) to which we declined. Then they told me they were coming back to give me my refund but wanted to take the rest of the order back off me. To be honest at this point that was absolutely fine with me, I was way to angry to eat it anyway.
After waiting another half hour we called back to ask when they were picking up the food as we didn’t want it, to be offered a $30 refund. We demanded a full refund and still wanted them to come and get the untouched food.
Just finished a call from menu log telling us that the refund has been organised so it’s not all a dead loss.
Safe to say we will not be ever using them again.
Disappointing. I like to support local small business but the standard of food in our take away was really poor.

Over the year’s wins classic novelty celebrations have been a delight for families and friends alike.
Seems like he’s been dropping the ball. quality of food has been rubbish, (but its not as if you go there for quality food right? ) theres no longer a spark in the old man’s eyes. Service has become a chore.. even the fridge is a bit warmer these days.
Maybe its too much of his own home made whisky, Maybe the drunk local kids from bayside have just hammered the celebrations for far too long.
who knows. Never thought id say the words, but unfortunately we wont be coming back.

Great for birthday’s, especially for kids. Ho (owner) is a great host, gifts, fireworks and complimentary drinks for the adults. We’ve had several family birthdays there and it’s always fantastic . The entres are the best, the rest isn’t the best buy ok. Will be back.
Great veg spring rolls but I find most dishes to be lacking in flavor
