Little Lipari really is an authentic piece of Italy in the heart of Shepparton. Unfortunately I was only able to sample this restaurant 3 times during the week I was in Shepparton for work. The first visit was the Casareccia pasta with pork sausage, outstanding! The pasta seemed home made and the flavour felt like straight out of Italy, which it actually is. Joe, the owner and chef takes great pride cooking front and centre, as the kitchen is located just beside the register. So good we had to return for breakfast. This is where s@*t got real, Franks Sicilian eggs, amazing!! Had to go back the next day for seconds. Possibly the best breakfast I remember having. So full of flavour, not a lot to it, but just amazing flavours!! Even their cold pressed oj was delicious. Coffee is nothing special but definitely not back. All up just an authentic experience that should not be missed in Shepparton. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
A colleague and I stumbled on this busy Sicilian cafe when working in Shepparton and entered for lunch. I had the special pasta vegetarian Occhiardelle which was delicious. My companion was also happy with her risotto. We had a chat with the owner as we were settling the bill – a passionately run local business deserving of support.
My wife and I were cycling around Shepparton and chose to stop for lunch at Little Lipari. It was very convenient to park our bikes on the footpath and eat at one of the outdoor tables on a sunny although cool day. Despite being outside, the staff were very attentive and we quickly had menus and glasses of water. We only had main courses and we chose the gnocchi and seafood linguine. I can’t recall the type of meat sauce with the gnocchi but it was delicious. The seafood was also very good. Overall it was a very pleasant dining experience at a reasonable price.
My favourite lunch spot in town! Authentic Italian that is consistently amazing! We have a few favourites on the menu (mushroom gnocchi, Morton bay bug risotto), but the seafood linguine tops the list for me.It is also worth noting that it is a family-friendly cafe with terrific menu choices just for the kids (including child-size hot and cold drinks). Our children are always supplied with pencils and a picture to colour in while we wait; a much appreciated gesture.
The bacon and egg rolls are totally worth it for $8. Unfortunately not a fan of their coffee. Is a small kitchen so meals can take a while. I have waited up to half hour for a bacon and egg roll. Still worth it. They’re the best rolls in Shepp for breaky.
