Consistently Good. I’ve been having pizza from the Riviera since the seventies, and it’s as authentic as any you would find in Italy. We travel to Shepp from Melbourne and always enjoy a pizza from the Riviera as it’s much better than anything on offer in the city.

After driving all day and not getting into Shep until nearly 10pm, takeaway was the only option. This place looked okay, so I got the chicken fettuccine. Looked great until I opened the lid – there was an unbelievable amount of pepper. And whole peppercorns at that, it wasn’t even ground up. The only way such a huge amount of pepper could get in there is if either a) the cook has no tastebuds and thinks the little crunchy black balls look pretty or b) the pepper mill broke into my meal, and the cook didn’t give a rats.I spent 15 mins picking whole peppercorns out with my hands, and then had to resort to literally tipping the pasta in the (washed) sink and WASH the pasta. I then had cold, tasteless pasta, but at least I ate something. Overall? Horrid.
