I was really looking forward to having lunch at HS, the building is stunning and very large, the staff are very pleasant and extremely helpful.
The reason for the low rating is very simply because of the food.
Entree tasting plate was average with the only tasty aspect being the satay sauce.
The Kaarage Chicken was unpleasant due to its bland flavour and floury texture.
The steak sandwich is simply daylight robbery, the menu advertises porterhouse steak, Im sure it was, but there was 5 strips of it, this was accompanied by some lettuce, tomato, some jam and chips, was it tasty, not really, was it worth the $25? Absolutely not!!!!! I was extremely disappointed!!!
As this was my first trip to HS, I am willing to give it another go, but it would want to be a lot better.
To start I shared garlic naan with my family. It was beautiful with a great balance of salt, oil and garlic. I had the butternut pumpkin, sundried tomato and pesto linguine as my main. It was delish!! The sundried tomatoes were so sweet and the linguine was cooked to perfection. The sauce to pasta ratio was also a spot on and I believe the sauce was homemade! We had a toddler among our group and a kids menu was offered for them. We ordered kids Bolognese and the meal was huge! Well worth the money.
