2.5 … we felt like a burger and rather than going back to trusty Royal Stacks, decided to try Burger Love. My mistake. Its not that its bad. Its just mediocre. Hubby who loves fries only had 1/3 of the fries. The bacon has so much grits in it.
The burger was a bit dry, especially the burger bun, which is supposed to be brioche? Got some sort of double cheese burger added jalapeos and a fried egg which is the redeeming factor to the whole thing. Otherwise not wow.

This is to one of my favorite burger chains I’ve ever tried. It’s situated in a bit of a secluded spot in South Melbourne, therefore it’s very quiet in the neighborhood. A very nice vibe to this place which sets you in the right mood for a hearty meal.
We got outselves the double B as it was the popular choice with 2x juicy beef patties, 2x chewy bacon strips covered in the goodness of 2x American cheddar. This takes time to arrive, but totally worth it when it does. This is one luscious burger which makes your hands dirty but fills you up with the goodness of protein and cheese.
Do not forget to try the hot sauces available on their desks for free. The habanero is a good treat whilst the spicy Sanchez with a Scoville scale of 1.5 million gives you tears and hiccups immediately, yet soo flavorful and tasteful. A must try for a real good kick. However make sure that you’ve got a water/milk next to you.
This was one of favorite places to visit, and with some friendly staff at the venue, it’s the easiest 5-star I’ve given!
Holy hell. This burger was IMMENSE. Could hardly even hold the entire thing. Really great cook on the meat, juicy and tender without being overly greasy. Not for the faint of heart!
Friendly staff, wonderful taste burger. Located in a small valley, customers usually come with friends who knew the store.
The combo meal option gave lots of fries because to all their sauces were very hot and spicy unless you pay extra to buy others.
Overall it was pleasant to have a burger and chat with friends there. Highly recommend.
Takes a bit of a walk to get to, not exactly prime South Melbourne location. Cosy, fun vibe to the place. Good music, lots of ‘grams on the wall, merch on display and even colouring for the kids. The eating competitions were interesting – personally, they sound undoable. Top props to contestants. Ordering was easily done at the counter. Minimal waiting time (no other customers around on a Sunday night, might’ve helped).
Pretty good burger, and chips were generous in serving size. Burger bun could do with being a little less thick, felt like I was tasting a lot of the bun. But understand why that’s needed – a thinner bun might not be able to hold the juices/sauces.
Would give it a 3.5 if one was available. Wouldn’t mind going again but not a must-visit in my books, location kills it a bit.
Super stoked it had plenty of vegan options that could also be GF.
Hubby had the burger with the lot – Ill probably grab that next time.
I ordered the veggie patty naked (no bun) and enjoyed it.
Also ordered the fat fries but the fries were a little over down for me.
Kids had the max bomb which they liked.
We also ordered some choc tops (I couldnt eat the cone as it has gluten but hubby said they were super soggy) so I wouldnt recommend them.
Food took a bit of time coming out but at least the kids had some colouring activities to keep them occupied.
Good burger places in South Melbourne, hard to find without google maps or unless you are a local and know the area. Worth a visit if you’re into insta worthy pics of food or decor. The burgers were good, lots of fillings, the loaded fries were delicious and so were the shakes.
