We ended up at this tiny little Cafe by chance and the experience was a very pleasant.

The Japanese Curry, Crab Croquettes and Fried Chicken were the winners together with the Hot Chocolate. Perfectly cooked and crisped chicken pieces on both the plates were yum. So was the Japanese Curry. The very smooth and creamy crab croquettes were crisp from the outside.

We also enjoyed their Tempura Prawn Sandwich, Filter Coffee and Ginger Tea.

Value for Money and happy attendants also add to our positive experience. Plenty of.options for Vegans and Vegetarians to choose from.

    Definitely visiting again

This quaint, cosy little kitchen is run by friendly Japanese staff. The decor is warm and inviting, and the menu has a good blend between traditional Japanese favourites and some modern twists.

As with many places run by Japanese staff, the presentation of food was meticulous and thoughtful, and you can tell it was prepared with care. My wife liked the agedashi tofu with brown rice, but I thought it was a little bland. It’s brown rice though so I guess that probably played a part. The ebi katsu burger felt like the bun was a little too big for the contents of the burger, and I didn’t find it filling enough. That said, the prices here are pretty reasonable ($15 thereabouts) compared to other burger or brunch places, and this burger did come with a small side of shoestring fries so I can’t really fault them there. The lemon tart we had for dessert was surprisingly balanced in flavour – tart but not overwhelming, and was a refreshing end to the meal.

We would consider coming again for the ambience and overall experience, but probably only if we’re not too hungry.

Kuu Cafe offers a range of different Japanese dishes from karaage fried chicken to soba udon noodles. The menu is actually quite large so it might take awhile to figure out what you would like to order but fear not, theres cute drawings of the food, that are so hard to resist, you just want to order everything! I really like the idea that they draw cute drawings next to the item on the menu, very eye catching!

I ordered the kaarage Japanese fried chicken which was slightly dry in some parts but most of it was nice and tender. I wish instead of using celery vinaigrette, they should have used some mayonnaise instead (just my person opinion).

I also ordered the omusoba which Ive never tried before. There were a lot of flavours going on. It was pretty much a oversized omelet with a lot of different ingredients and toppings. I also order the Japanese curry which was quite standard. I liked the chicken they used.

The service was extremely quick and everyone working there was very nice and helpful.

Overall, I wouldnt mind coming back to try some other stuff on their menu.
