Ordered a take away chicken and ginger congee. I haven’t had a congee before so I don’t really have anything to compare it with. It was nice however I did order a large which was too much, I got half way through and felt the taste was very repetitive. The chicken was in large chunks and would of preferred it shredded so it would of been easier to eat. My 2 friends enjoyed theirs, if you like congee then this might be the place for you.
I have been constantly searching for a good coffee place since I have started working in South Melbourne.
Luckily this shop located on Albert Road saves my day. Nice and quietly located opposite Albert Park gives you a relax feeling towards enjoying your coffee and the views.
Got a iced hazelnut latte, really smooth coffee and just the slight hint of hazelnut flavour pumps me up for the rest of my working hours.
I would recommend anyone who would like something just nice and quiet around this area.
Really good coffee after trying all of the coffee shops along the road these guys have the nicest smoothest most consistent coffee. Lots of home made sweets including cookies and the place is always busy. After one day they remembered my name and they seem to get the coffe out quite quick. I haven’t tried their food
Ran passed here today and decided to stop by for breakfast and coffee. The staff was friendly and directed me to their menu. I ordered my usual – long black and avocado on toast with poached eggs. The coffee temperature was right, but that was about it for the coffee. The coffee tasted bitter (unfortunately, that was the only taste, not much texture).
After waiting for a while, my breakfast came. The avocado was unevenly chopped and seasoned. The bread was thin and small and not toasted. The worst part was the poached eggs. The yolks were runny, but the egg white was overcooked and tasted bland. I felt like going into the kitchen and teach them how to make a proper breakfast.
Pork Roast Burger – Wednesday Special. Best Pork burger i have EVER had. Hands down!!!.
A regular haunt for a great take-away coffee.
Very good coffee, friendly staff. Chi and his friends know about coffee. The coffee is consistently good quality. I have learnt alot from these guys about how coffee is made and how different variants effect taste. They are always happy to answer questions.
The food is also fresh and made on the premises. Lemon and poppyseed muffins are incredible.
