Popped in here early this morning for a takeaway coffee-Nice! Coffee was strong and smooth, friendly staff. Recommend!
Don’t bother. Bad tasteless food.
Average coffee.. so many better cafes in south melbourne
New Owners -not so good. Regular haunt for breakfast. After being away for a week I returned to find new owners. Giving benefit of doubt I try twice for the usual. Service really gone off and food nowhere near as good. Patronage seriously declined too. Nowhere near as many customers anymore.
Used to be one of the busiest little cafe’s in the morning. Now beginning to look like a ghost town!!

I don’t usually like banana porridge for breakfast but this one is exceptional – caramelized banana and a creamy texture. The poached eggs and bacon is delicious – top quality ingredients. Love this place!
AMAZING. I love Scuttlebutt. I work in the area and go in at least once a day. Their Chai brewed with the tea leaves is fantastic as is the banana porridge. Lovely staff, 5 stars.
Scuttlebutt is my local as I go to uni close by. The coffees always spot on, the food is always amazing. The apple cleanser on a hot day is so refreshing! All of that aside, the staff are super friendly and also deliver great service. More people need to know about this lovely cafe! 5 stars
