Despite being a popular new venue on the bar/club scene the Albion is actually also a great dining option. To start we tried the corn and gruyere croquettes. Very cheesy which was delicious. Then for main I went for the harissa pork chop which came with coleslaw, macadamias and carrots. A really tasty and light dish.
We had at work function at Albion today and I just love this space. Its recent renovation makes it one of the loveliest pubs going round if you can even call it that. The rooftop is a great spot for drinks, they do great bar snacks and a delicious Pinot (and Im not even a white wine drinker). Definitely my preferred drinks spot in South Melbourne.
One of the city’s best rooftop bars – Especially since it’s makeover at the beginning of the year. The Albion offers some tasty veggie food options (love the freekeh salad), a killer espresso martini and a nice selection of local wines and beers. If you live or work around the area, this should be your new summer drinking destination.
