Bloody expensive for a beef burger, of which in my opinion it’s a glorified Big Mac. Okay it’s better than Big Mac but it tasted arguably similar. The patty is rather thin as well. So all in all it didn’t meet my expectation, especially after forking that amount of money. The chips however was very good and probably its only saving grace.

Ziggys Eatery is located in Coventry Street in South Melbourne. A great little spot for casual dining & some tables outside in the tree lined street. Ive been a Ziggys fan for a long time & have visited the Balaclava location many times but was my first time at South Melbourne.

We ordered soft drinks although they do have a range of beer as well. We started with the Wingz, chicken wings with bbq sauce & the truffle cheese fries. The wings were tasty & sticky but the truffle cheese fries, oh my lord. Loaded with a cheese, truffle, black peppercorn mushroom sauce, these fries were next level delicious. I will be back for these fries, highly recommend.

We tried the Halloumi Burger, one of the best veggie burgers in Melbourne. The beetroot bun is packed with grilled, marinated halloumi cheese, lettuce, aioli, tomato, shredded beetroot & pickled Spanish onion. Its full of flavour & freshness & a seriously good burger.

The ZFC is a crispy, crunchy flavour bomb. We added bacon & another piece of Southern fried chicken coz we were feeling a bit extra.

Another really fantastic feed by the Ziggys crew, consistently impressive burgers & those truffle fries need to be in my life on the regular. Thanks so much for having us.

Needed a quick decent burger. Google maps brought up Ziggy’s. Easy park, donated parking fee to South Melbourne council, honestly it’s a Saturday should be free. Heaps of spots. Order Texan burger, nice bun stayed together. Great favours, Ziggy’s special sauce. Worth a visit, they look like they did not hold back on the fit out

I was invited to Ziggys last night for what may just be the most spectacular burger Ive ever eaten. Struggling to choose between beef and chicken, I opted to customise a beef burger with a fried chicken patty and it was pretty much my most ingenious idea to date. That Ziggys bbq sauce is sensational! It was just perfect with the beef and chicken.

We enjoyed some fries with a variety of sauces all of which are house made. I personally adored the aioli but my dining companion favoured the smoky cheese.

We also tried the beef shawarma which was recommended by staff. I was really pleasantly surprised to realise their wraps are equally delicious. I can not fathom how this place wasnt on my radar before and honestly cant recommend it enough
