I was hoping to find Chatime to quench my thirst after shopping at DFO but settled for Epic Tea instead as it is the only milk tea store I could find at the food court. Theres not much milk tea option on the menu so I went with normal milk tea with half sugar half ice and aloe vera toppings. It was still very sweet and too much ice even though I asked to half it.
Had the Epic Tea oolong tea special. Went with 25% sugar which was more than sweet enough. Wasn’t much of a line which was interesting because of how busy the DFO was.
Tea actually was extremely refreshing after 2-3 hours of shopping. Nice spot to refuel before one would resume spending beyond their own credit limit.
Not great. Got a mango tea with quarter sugar – tasted really bitter and just yuck. Clearly needs an overload of sugar to be drinkable. Ended up throwing it out.
Overpriced and watery with a powdery taste. Ordered the matcha milk tea with red bean. This is potentially the palest green I have ever seen on a matcha milk tea. Won’t bother going back which is a shame because bubble tea after/during shopping is oh so tempting!
Another day, another bubble tea shop in the city. Epic Tea is a decent enough place to rest after a hard day of shopping at South Wharf.
Their Milk Tea Superstar came with pearls, red beans and egg pudding – sounds a bit busy but this triple combination was surprisingly good. The egg pudding came in one whole chunk though, which made it difficult to access.
Happy to try their other drinks in the future.
