Wonderful little place in a part of Toorak Road that’s been lifeless in the past. My friend and I came on a Monday night, and the place was packed. It definitely attracts a certain crowd, but my friend and I were warmly welcomed. We snaffled a table at the bar so we were privy to the buzz around us, and were served promptly and knowledgeably. I asked for a pinot noir and was recommended another Italian red in addition. I tried both and preferred the pinot, but I appreciated the recommendation regardless. We didn’t eat, but the menu looked great and reasonably priced. A great addition to the area.
We dined here on Thursday night after Christmas. The dining space is a narrow room with a cool industrial fit out. The restaurant wasnt busy but half filled out while we were there. Tye food is delicious and highly recommend the calamari, zucchini flowers (special) and crumbed mozzarella and for mains the rabbit ragu was amazing AF. One of my companions tried the lavender spritz which wasnt soapy and was surprisingly tasty. The only let down in this scenario was the service. I read about this in some of the previous reviews but didnt want to let it sway me, dont get me wrong they werent awful but there is room for improvement there. I recommend going for the food and drink and soaking up the atmosphere only and you wont go wrong.
