3.5 to be precise
It was a rather impromptu stop-over here that day, brought about by the sudden idea of surprising my partner at his workplace with some takeaway lunch
I got him some Homemade Boiled Pork Dumplings, Chicken and Prawn Wontons in Chilli Oil, and Fried Chicken Wings.
The dumpling and wonton fillings had a nice density and bite to them, with good skin to filling ratios. Skin-wise, they were texturally balanced without being doughy.
For what seemed like an equal race to the finish line initially, the wontons ended up losing by a notch to the dumplings in the taste department. Sadly, the fried chicken wings came in last as they were rather salty and dry.
Collectively, the dumplings and wontons werent the best ones hes had, but they were certainly one of the better ones.
Whether it was the element of surprise or the food itself speaking or a bit of both, he said that it was an enjoyable lunch overall.
