Gozleme should have meat in it not just traces of meat. How is this ‘generous’?!
I can’t understand. I’ve eaten gozleme at many different places and it’s always plentiful of meat. Not for me.

Guzel is a great shop. They use ‘quality lamb meat’ here whereas the majority of other kebab shops/trucks in Melbourne tend to use cheap lamb mince meat that is shaved off in thin, long strips. The reason I’ve rated this place a 4.5/5 and not a 5/5 is due to the really slow service during the day. Other than that, the prices are fair, the kebabs and HSPs are made to perfection and staff are always friendly when we go there during our work lunch break.

Guzel serves reasonably nice gozleme and kebabs, conveniently located on Chapel St. The food is quite tasty and decently priced. We usually opt for the spinach and cheese gozleme which comes with a side of 2 x salads or dips. The ‘salad’ selection isn’t huge – it’s mainly dips to be honest but they are tasty enough. If you’re used to traditional Turkish food then your expectations will probably be quite high and the food won’t blow you away, but it certainly fills the void!

The only place near the Malvern Rd segment of Chapel Street that offered HSPs…. however I was disappointed that there was no cheese in my HSP. I had the chicken variation with tomato, bbq and garlic sauce. Unfortunately I didn’t love it as I thought the sauces were too vinegary/sour, and the chicken wasn’t a lovely charred flavour that I was expecting. Haven’t tried a HSP anywhere else as I was slightly put off by this one. Service was lovely though. Disclaimer: I was sober and it was daytime when I ate here.

I stumbled across Guzel one night on my way home from a night of drinks and was very impressed with my mixed kebab and chips. Definitely worth coming back for.

Legit some of the best food ever. Amidst the current snack pack craze this place provides some of the best snack packs out there. Just go and ask for a snack pack and trust me you’ll be eating a box of heaven
