The location is very easy and accessible both by public transport (tram few meters away and 3 mins walking distance from South Yarra station) and private vehicle. We had couple times come here to try their bird nest, cause we hardly find any dessert shop that offers bird nest. We would rather spend little bit more to have dessert that is naturally made (not using any artificial flavor) and has better quality. Yay: Purple Rice Rose Yogurt with Black Rice, Mango Coconut Smoothie with Bird’s Nest Jelly, Pandan Coconut Mango CakeNay: N/A
Every time Jann’s choice can always give me a surprise, so does this time. The fish maw and soy milk box is the best dessert I have ever had! At the first bite of these two dessert, my friends and I couldn’t wait to order more! hope the soy milk box be provided in the store soon✨✨✨

Where my favourite cake shop used to be is now Jann’s Choice. Specialising in bird’s nest, you can get bird’s nest egg tart, bird’s nest as a topping in your beverages and tiny jars of bird’s nest to take home. If you haven’t tried bird’s nest, I personally don’t think you are missing out on much, save for the health benefits that reportedly comes from consuming it. Texture-wise, it’s slippery and gelatinous, very much like an agar. Taste-wise, it’s pretty bland. Price-wise, it’s considered a delicacy so that tells you all you need to know.My partner and my friend both opted for bird’s nest as a topping in their drink – one a mango smoothie, and another a papaya coconut smoothie. Both very refreshing and tasty, as evident by the fresh fruit used to make the drinks. Sweetness level was perfect, and the jelly-like texture of the bird’s nest lent a good chew to the drinks.I had the purple rice rose yoghurt with palm sugar sago, and very much enjoyed it. It was a combination of floral and tangy, and the caramelised sweetness from the palm sugar added depth to the drink. We splurged on the bird’s nest egg tarts and at $24 for 3, it’s a once in a lifetime splurge for me. The pastry was undoubtedly crisped and flaky, and the custard creamy, but it wasn’t an exceptional egg tart in any aspect.Very friendly service, and the lady serving us took the time to go through the whole menu with us. Not sure why we asked so many questions but it might have just been one of those days where our brain wasn’t functioning properly. Still she was very patient with us.A nice alternative to bubble tea.
