Was pleasantly surprised by this cafe. Whenever Ive walked past on my way to work it was always fairly busy, and so I decided to pop in and try it out one weekend. Its a small and pretty plain-looking space, and yet feels cosy. The menu is intriguing in that they offer your typical cafe breakfast options, but also Indonesian/Malaysian dishes. We ordered the a flat white, matcha latter to start, and for food the roti chanai with satay sauce, laksa and migoreng. The matcha was pretty decent, while the flat white was not bad. The roti chanai was delicious and well cooked – soft yet crispy, and the sauce complemented it perfectly. The laksa was good; the broth was a decent level of creamy and flavourful, and the noodles were thin rice noodles which was a but of a change as we were used go egg noodles +/- rice noodles. The migoreng would be more accurately named if it were listed as a stirfry noodle on the menu; but there was lots of vege and meat, and for the price point it was a good portion so I was satisfied. Service was attentive and good. Cant go wrong with this place if youre just after a comfortable cheap breakfast/brunch option.
