One of the best burgers in Melbourne. Ive been here multiple times and every time it has delivered. Don’t be turned off by the grungy venue, the food is amazing. Definitely recommend getting the double cheeseburger, the balance is perfect and the beef is so flavoursome. 10/10 would bang

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! Their constantly open arms towards my dog constantly has me weak at the knees. If you want your pooch to be appreciated, this is the place to go. Sweetwater Inn is no longer, but Leonard’s House of Love took over the travesty that was Tryst and Sweetwater’s legacy lives on. The kitchen pumps out a range of incredible southern American food (there’s even a veg burger option), and the short wine list will cater to all. There’s a roaring fire indoors in the winter – the perfect date spot to hang with your hound. Thanks for always looking after us when we come in (and for the never-ending supply of dog treats (except for that time when the ants marched in and ate them all) – my pooch talks about you guys constantly!).

Terrific atmosphere. Even on a Tuesday night this place was buzzing. Bar service was quick for a busy place. Cocktails were delicious, the perfect strength and had nice touches like fresh berries and mint.

Id like to give 4.5 stars.. Im not a burger eater but I got chicken burger and Im in love with its juicy fried chicken, cheese and the bun. Its worth to try if youre in the area.

This is a great place to catch up with friends over a drink and fried chicken. The chicken tenders and so crispy and delicious. The hot sauce was not as spicy as we expected but still tasty nevertheless. Even the pickles that come with it are great. It can get busy but its worth it!

I was curious by this place because it is also the name of one of my favourite songs by East 17.

I had the fried chicken sandwich. I enjoyed that it was on white sandwich bread. Brought me back to the 90s. In a world where brioche is king, it’s nice to see white bread. The chicken itself was juicy instead and crunchy on the outside. I really enjoyed it. The onion rings were pretty good.

You wouldn’t find this place walking down chapel street, but enough people know about this place. It’s very Melbourne to seek your food, and people should seek this house of love.

Great vibes and even better burgers! This place won’t disappoint. Highly recommend their ‘Hot Chick’ burger, juicy chicken thigh grilled in duck fat but be warned this thing packs a punch!
