The combination of the cheese, ham and toast can never go wrong, but their fondue special toast was a level-up! The thoroughly melt cheese with ham was enticing and the taste was greatly enhanced with a touch of mustard sauce, the bread was nicely toasted yet not greasy when I had it on hand. The only thing I hesitated was to get a cheese toast for $15…quite expensive for me.

There was no queue for Maker & Monger when we arrived. I ordered the All American toast & it definitely hit the spot. I had it cut into quarters to share with friends & that was a good idea. It was definitely too cheesy for me to eat alone.. Yum

2 years ago we ordered the fondue toasty & pasta on cheese wheel with truffle.. thinking to come back for the pasta but it was no longer on their menu.. this time we tried the fondue special which has some additional ham in the toasty… sourdough was crispy & the sea salt on top was a nice addition.. I would recommend that you can just order the basic cheese toasties without any meat, as it makes the cheese less stringy… overall taste good but not as memorable as our first experience..

Who doesn’t love cheese and carbs? Hot gooey cheese sandwiched between two slices of golden buttery crisped bread.

My partner and I tried the Fondue Special and the All-American, and both were incredible. The Fondue Special came with slices of delicious ham off the bone.

I am already thinking of going back for more, despite them being on the pricey side. When the quality and taste are that amazing, I’m willing to part with my hard-earned cash.

Stop by here often for their delectable cheesy treats while grocery shopping at Prahran market, and have never been disappointed. The cheese is always the centre of attention and complemented wonderfully by the bread, condiments and other ingredients.
