Yummy hot dogs and friendly service. I loved all the cabbage and onion relishes. It was clean and the girl at the counter was friendly and full of smiles.
The sausages might be good but the place is messy and managed badly. I bought a sausage there today and the preparation area was covered with food scraps, used sausage packaging and kitchen tools all over the place.
The open door to the back kitchen revealed 2 empty suitcases and an abandoned shopping trolley with more empty sausage packaging laying on benches and the floor. No confidence in this place.
Worth the visit to Prahran market.
This place is great and better than the place at Vic market. Lovely open grill over charcoal and very,very tasty sausage. $7.50 for a spicy Spanish chorizo on a warm, soft roll. Add 50 cents for soft onion and add mustard. A steal and filling. Not Vue de Monde but abroad cheaper.
5/5 for a super tasty snack ! $7 for a kransky, bread roll and cheese – cooked over a grill and transported me back to living in Germany – the smell lured me in and wow it was good… Will be here weekly if it’s this good!!
This is a great place for a lunch on the run – the food is quick, tasty, good quality and reasonably priced. Nobody does hot dogs like the Germans!
Swinging German. Many different types of German sausages slowly cooking on a giant round BBQ swinging off chains atop red charcoal. I was sold at first sight; and smell; and taste. Brilliant, a very different offering at the Prahran market. Now bring more sauerkraut, potatoes, speciality breads and mustards and you have the perfect biergarten sideshow.
