This is probably my favourite food truck in Melbourne. They sell really ultra fresh mussels !!
I always order the one which comes white wine , lemon juice and chilli ! It never fails !! 100% recommended if you are looking for a nice snack around queen victoria market
Located in the famous Prahran Market which you can easily spot in the food hall area, typically mussel shells sticking out on top of the truck.. we ordered the Steamed Mussels with White Wine & Parsley.. the broth was too salty.. you wont be able to drink or soak the bread in it..
should have tried the coconut tomato based broth instead as it looked like a winner.. will come back again and give that a go

Came here on a terribly cold day to try their mussels, I went to the branch located in Victoria Market and my expectations were very high since every time I pass I see a crowd eating their mussels. But unfortunately I was left disappointed.
Ordered:
Steam tomato chilli coconut cream parsley $13: the mussels I received werent plump and juicy but the meat has shrunken to the point that the meat was rather chewy. The broth was overly salty, but I have to acknowledge the creaminess and spiciness of the broth. That definitely warmed me up! Despite that, I didnt pay $13 and waited 20 or more mins for shrunken, over cooked mussels, I expect better.
Service was nice and friendly.
Never dissapointing! Their mussels are always fresh and it just taste so good. I always go for the steamed white wine parsley and steamed chilli coconut, but everything there is just satisfying. Fresh big mussels cooked in a comforting soup, I wouldnt say no for Mussel Pot.
The team of Alex and Pixie and others have done a stellar job. They have kept their menu really simple
-as you would have probably guessed its all to do with mussels cooked in various condiments. My go to dish is hot hot hot chilly mussels. Visit them at QVM too!
Love this place, a regular for a weekend mussel smash. Reasonably priced and great serving sizes. Mussels are fresh and cooked with amazing flavours. The chill coconut one, delish!!!!
