After reading the reviews and also friends recommendations, I came with high expectations but was disappointed.
The service was good. There was no doubt about that. We were seated promptly and they were very patient with us as half the group was slightly delayed.
Food that we had were teo chew steam fish which came out very different from our childhood memories of what it was in Malaysia. So we were a bit disappointed but it was okay.
Next, the Singapore fried chicken- it was a bit too salty for me but nice.
Flaky tofu which was very average. I did not see the yumminess in it.
Sambal kangkung was lacking in the spiciness and oom that I was looking for. It might be an adaptation as to suit a different palate.
Last but not least, the Singaporean noodles which was good.
All in all, it’s pretty average. It might be just that my expectations were somewhat higher or we ordered the wrong dishes however unlikely to be going back in a hurry for now.

Service was friendly and fairly prompt. We had an issue with our mantous (werent toasted enough for our liking), we queried this and they happily retoasted the buns to make them slightly more brown.
Also well priced! We will be back.
3.5 I used to love eating at Red Hot Wok, but I dont know whether because I have ordered something different (aka not crab), or because the standard has gone downhill a bit, but I wasnt as in love with red hot wok as I was before.
I ordered char kuey teow, which is nice but wasnt amazing. Hubby ordered combination noodles and my friend ordered seafood noodles and they both looked super similar except one is without prawns.
My other friend ordered Bak Kuet Tea and found it a bit too salty, and she loves salty too! A bit disappointing
