Ive been away from Melbourne almost nine months and moved back home and what do I see? A Schnitz right around the corner!

Some things have changed.. and got better. The Status Quo was always a favourite but as a celery hater Id pick out every bit of celery before eating; now its this fresh cabbage based slaw with mint and dill. Its INCREDIBLE.

Very delicious yet pricey! But worth it. The childrens meals need some kind of toy though to keep them busy. Will be back of course. Probably tomorrow

A beautiful and huge new Schnitz location. This venue doesn’t look like a fast food joint at all! It has a large bar, open kitchen and good variety of seating. I sampled their new vegan schnitzels which, despite not being meaty, are still nice – Especially when paired with a bite of sweet potato fry.

Got a spicy chicken schnitzel plain and simple wrap and large chips.

Crumb wasnt spicy but had a good flavour. Wrap was good; juicy and tender chicken and good overall flavour. It had onion which I didnt realise it had (I dont like raw onions) which was the only downside. But I think thats a personal preference, only wish the ingredients were fully mentioned (unless I was just blind) so I could ask for without.

Price was very reasonable especially considering the prices of the majority of places in the area at an inferior quality.

Staff were great, friendly and provided clear instructions; sit there, Ill bring a menu, and then you can order up at the counter.
