The man who made my coffee smelled heavily of cigarettes. The coffee was okay but absolutely did not make up for that. I haven’t had the food so I cant comment on anything else but I wont be back.

Thanks so much for our Wonderful Vegan Banquet last night, everything tasted Amazing! Loved the Falafel with Tahini Sauce, Fried Cauliflower with Spiced Pear Sauce, Harra Potatoes with Garlic Toum and Fatouli was to die for!
Service was very friendly yet still professional and Nick was always stopping by to make sure we were comfortable as well as giving us a detailed run down of the food and recommendations which were spot on!
Great job Raff and Nick! I will be bringing a group with me next time and catching public transport so I can try their unique cocktail list!

After several times I bought coffee and sweets for take away, I finally had the chance to sit down and try their menu.
The most noted aspect of this place is the owner, who is always very friendly and attentive, and he hires his staff accordingly.
The Middle eastern inspired food was delicious. The South Yarra Breakfast was almost like the breakfasts I’m used to.
They also serve Hummus in the evening, which I’ll hopefully try soon (though Hummus should be brunch :)).

Friendly staffs, love so much can’t give too opinion on their food, because I’m a boring person I only order the same thing which is scrambled eggs on sourdough. Food is average, coffee is good.

What a great little place that exudes ‘local’. A wonderful cafe entertaining South Yarra’s finest with a very casual, relaxed feel.

We stopped in here for breakfast with friends before heading to the airport & it was a great start to the day!

I enjoyed the vegetable fritters with Kewpie mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, ‘smashed’ avocado & bacon. It strangely had a resemblance to the Japanese Okonomiyaki. A visually appealing dish not to mention delicious!

Only improvements would be that there was no gluten free bread available until someone returned from buying it. Would like to assume there is sufficient to cover the weekend breakfast rush etc but….things happen I guess.

Staff were lovely and quite chatty which added to the great local feel.

A definite must if you’re in the area.

Dropped in for a coffee and some cookies. Great coffee. 8/10 could be stronger. Perfect milk and temperature. The cookies where really nice and moist. Nicely price too. And the service was really nice too.

Verve Spice is one of those unsuspecting gems you just need someone to recommend because its just off the more beaten path of Chapel St. Being on Toorak rd, they have quite a reputation to fulfil – luckily, everything here is made in house with so much love and care for the hospitality trade that they have no trouble.
Service is constantly 100% every time I go there, the Barista is an absolute charmer and never to busy to have a chat. I’ve had breakfast & lunch there but what really standed out each time was the portion sizes, everything was bursting with flavour, freshness and the uniqueness of their menu! If you can get a seat, Verve Spice will definitely look after you more then a lot of the cookie cutter cafes out there. Do yourself a favour and walk in next time you walk by.
