Wagyu Ya has been raved since it first opened. Serving high quality, imported meat from Japan. Id recommend ordering the M10 grade meat, because it really was different than the M9 one. The wagyu sushi was all very tasty. The foie gras rice was really flavourful as well. Might be a bit overpriced, the service also was a bit slow, and the table wasnt big enough for the size of the plates. Still not comparable to the beef in Japan. However, it is the best meat you can get in Melbourne.

Came here to celebrate my partners birthday and over-ordering was an understatement.
    We ordered
    Medium Sashimi Platter
    Scallop Sashimi
    2x Toro Sashimi
    Scampi Sashimi
    Truffle duck liver rice
    Wagyu Yukke
    M9 Oyster Blade
    M9 Tri Tip
    M9 Karubi
    M10 Short ribs
M9 Chunk Roll slices w rice

5 meat dishes between 2 people were way too much! I think I wouldve gotten less Sashimi dishes as well. All the meat is amazingly marbled and flavored as expected. Highlights were the M10 short ribs for sure. I wanted to order the other cuts in M10 but they didnt have them available. The Chunk Roll slices w rice and egg is a must! So much flavour. The Sashimi there is good but I wouldnt say the freshest so you can skip them for other marinated fish dishes. The foi gras rice is a must and is perfect shared between two.
We were obviously stuffed by the end of our meal and didnt want a full sized dessert so opted for 1 piece of chocolate ice cube which ended up being delicious!

Cant wait to go here again

Korean bbq cannot compare to Wagyu Ya. As soon as the meat hits the grill and I could smell the aroma, I knew for sure this meat was going to be amazing and it was. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and helpful to.

This restaurant is definitely on the expensive side for the amount of food available though. Definite must try restaurant still.
