I visited Cervo yesterday for a breakfast meeting. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service. I decided to try the Cervo Benedict which was comprised of a potato rosti, pulled pork, a perfect poached egg and a delicious hollandaise all topped off with micro herbs and puffed pork crackle. This dish was by far one of the best eggs Benedict I have ever had, I absolutely demolished it. The flavours were balanced and the egg was poached to perfection. What was interesting was the bits of salty crunch I got from the pork crackle and small pieces of apple on the plate. On top of all that, the coffee was great too. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I will be back.

We went for lunch one day, we were seated and offered water. The glasses arrived, but not the water. We had to chase it up with the inattentive staff much later.
Food was great, so we decided to visit for dinner another night on our Melbourne weekend.
We arrived and asked for a table for 3. The waiter asked us to wait a moment, went away and never returned. Another waiter did exactly the same thing. The third waiter arrived (I was almost ready to walk away at this point) and finally we were shown to a table.
Food was wonderful, seafood marinara for my companions and carbonara for me. It was moist, full of flavour and just delicious. Defintiely need to work on the service though, it was way too clunky.

Had plans to go to another restro at Crown…but it was closed. I walk pass this all the time so decided to give it a try.
Well lucky we did, we were immediately greeted by the host and escorted to out table. We ordered the lamb salad which was very refreshing and had a substancial amount to lamb . We also ordered the Pasta Marinara the pasta was al dente and the seafood was full of favour.
Service was efficient and with great views of the water it was a treat
Tiramisu @ Cervo cafe, Crown Melbourne. There are so many variations of making tiramisu and although they might have described this dish as made from an authentic italian recipe, the taste wasn’t quite right for some reason. A slightly stronger alcohol which doesnt taste like kahlua emerges from the drenched sponge cake layers, making it an unfortunately weird flavour. Tiramisu is one of my fav dishes and I’ve been trying it at different places but at this place, I can only eat the cream which was nice.
Nutella pizza with banana! crispy base with smooth nutella..it’s delicious!
