Came here for father’s day! Ordered the fish of the day which happened to be sword fish the bad boy pizza and linguine with smoked salmon~ the food was spectacular and service was also amazing, couldn’t have been any better

My friend and I were looking for an Italian restaurant that wasnt too pricey. Considering that we were in Crown, we went with Emporio restaurant as the menu looked enticing and relatively affordable.

The service was lacking, took us quite a long time to get someones attention to even order. The staff hardly ever walked towards the middle to back of the restaurant (unless it was to deliver food), so it made the ordering process quite difficult.

My friend and I ordered the Spaghetti Emporio Pescatora and the Emporio Spiced Chicken pizza to share. Portions of both dishes were relatively large- we really enjoyed the pizza which consisted of diced up spiced chicken, cheese, chilli aioli and coriander. Thought the chilli aioli tied up the dish really well, and made for a really tasty pizza.

The Spaghetti Pescatora was good. For $30.50, you get a range of seafood including pan seared scallop, Black mussels, prawns and a handful of calamari. Probably not worth $30.50 for the quality that we got, but overall the dish was alright.

As huge AFL lovers, we like to make a day of it when our team plays during the day. This led us to visit Emporio within the Casino section. Sadly no kids in this one, 18+ only!

Service was prompt & the restaurant filled up very quickly. We got there at 5.45pm and by 6.30 there was a massive line.

What we ordered: for entree we shared an antipasto platter (served on top of a pizza base) and for mains we had the Chicken Parma, Fish & Chips and 2 x veggie salad w/Chicken.

Wow – the antipasto platter is out of this world, it filled four of us up!! Such a wide mixture of delicacies were presented and of course, as huge antipasto fans, we loved it. As for mains, no complaints there! Decent sized and all flavoursome. Due to how filling the antipasto was, it was a struggle to finish our mains!

Went there for dinner on a Friday night. I had a rump steak with potatoes, tomatoes, corn and a gravy on the side, together with a soft drink for $15 all up. Can’t beat this price, it’s good value for money. However, i ordered my steak medium rare, i got it cooked medium. The gravy was watery and the coke i ordered was without fizz. Overall, you get what you pay for, but the food wasn’t that bad. I would give it another go.

    Emporio pizza pasta crown
I came with some friends for a pre-show meal before going up to Palms at Crown. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. Being on the gaming room floor, I was sceptical, but the food was actually delicious. We started with a glass of sparkling and we had a choice of fish of the day, fettuccine carbonara or a prosciutto pizza.
I had the fettuccine which was cooked al dente and with a rice creamy sauce with big bits of bacon. A very satisfying and filling dish!
My friends all reported that the fish and pizza were just as delicious, with everyone polishing off their meals. The servings were huge too.
For dessert we had a chocolate brownie which was served with vanilla icecream and strawberries. A perfect, fresh, chocolatey brownie to finish off the meal.
