Long Chim is an outstanding Thai restaurant! We booked a table for 6 and shared a few dishes amongst the table.
The food was incredible, just mind your taste buds if you are sensitive to spice. Service was attentive and the ambience was very cool.
Just be mindful of the prices as alcohol is particularly expensive but a must go if you are in the mood for fancy Thai.

    WOW! LOVED IT!

We came on NYE without a booking, of course we had to wait. 1 hour wasn’t too bad actually compare to other restaurants close by.

We got back just after an hour and the host said the table wasn’t ready but very soon. When we got to the table we were like OMG 1 hour’s wait for this table is soooo worth it. I think we literally got the best table, outside, facing the yarra, and we will be able to see the fireworks!!

Ordered the thunder sth cocktail. the first one on the cocktail menu. It looks sensational (refer to the photo)!! And I am not exaggerating it was the best cocktail I have ever had and I have had a lot of cocktails!

For food we ordered chicken skewer, crunchy prawns for starters. eggplant salad, duck fried rice and the pork dish. Food came out real quick and everything was so nice! Particularly loved the mix of duck fried rice and the pork dish. The flavours were punchy and so yum. Friend said it was a bit too salty but I loved everything.

Dessert we had the banana roti which was a bit sweet even for me haha and the pandan tapioca very refreshing. And the fireworks were amazing! Had a great night here at Long Chim. Thank you so much team! It was absolutely perfect! Will be back very soon!

Great service, nice ambience, fantastic Thai food. Ordered the green curry chicken (yum), yellow curry prawn (yum), satay chicken (nice too but a bit dry), green papaya salad (loved it), the barramundi and pas thai which were all delish. The Thai tea ice cream was a bit of a novelty to us as weve only ever tried Thai tea before. The Tom yum cocktail was quite unique too. Would definitely come back to try other dishes.

    Atmosphere 4/5
    Service 5/5
    Food 4/5

The service is definitely the most attentive that Ive had in Australia. Other restaurants ought to take note.

The food is on point, and would have received five stars if not for the salt. If the kitchen could halve the salt the meal would be vastly improved.

We practically ate the whole menu. Very lovely Thai restaurant, great service and good food, very traditional dishes not the typical Thai food you would eat. A beautiful place to sit and eat along the riverside. Very busy restaurant full house when we were dining. My favourite was all of the desserts yummy.

Another great Thai restaurant in Melbourne! We went there twice during dinner and lunch time. During lunch we tried their noodles and Chiang Mai Larb. Everything was quiet authentic ! The larb was extremely spicy! So be careful. I cried while eating it

Their Thai tea dessert was amazing too we forgot to take photo! You should give it a go.

Pretty standard Thai fare – there are so many similar places in Melbourne these days so it’s hard to stand out. We went as a big group and had the feed me option. At $70 a head I felt there could have been more to it, though individually each dish was good. The service was farly slow – it took us ages to get the attention of the staff when we wanted more drinks – but I enjoyed the decor of the restaurant.
