This is the more casual alternative to the recent renovation of Pure South. The interior ambience is very nice and spacious, with seating facing the river outside if desired. The service is friendly and pleasant.
The food was quite good but the prices were only somewhat reasonable considering the semi fine dining ambience. You can probably get a heartier meal at some of the other restaurants in the area for similar prices. I personally found that some of the smaller plates were quite tempting, but struggled to find something I was really interested in with the larger plates. The beef rib burger I had was well prepared but while the sauces they used were interesting, I’m not sure I would like having it as a staple. My wife really liked the salmon and broth. The meringue tart dessert was quite nice as well.
