I work very close by and on a night shift I go there a lot. Pizza is always consistent, base is excellent, always heaps toppings and only 10 minutes to make. This is my go to place for pizza in Melbourne. A must for anyone who loves pizza
I had a wonderful dinner here ! This place brought me back to the good old days where I ordered pizza and pasta for movie nights on the couch. I truly could not remember the last time I had Italian food like this and it was such a special night for me . The staff were super friendly and helpful and the Soprano themed vibe really enhanced my experience.
I ordered the bruchetta which was actually on a garlic cheese pizza ( so good ) . The chicken and mushroom risotto and carbonara were also really creamy and full of flavor, I do wish I ordered a pasta with red sauce as the cream factor was border lining too much but honestly I really really just wanted a carbonara since I haven’t eaten it for probably a year 🙁
We ended the night with a tiramisu and boy was it so gooood ! It had so much cream ( which is something I like ) and the cake was perfectly balanced with the coffee flavor. The chocolate on the side was playful and probably a little too much but I am not really one to complain when it comes to excessive chocolate
Overall a great dining experience. We ordered the antipasto platter which gave a taste of several cold meats, olives and sundried tomatoes.
We ordered the Fettuccine Amatriciana and Peperoni Pizza for our main meals. The pasta had an authentic italian flavour which i really appreciated being Italian myself. Pizza base wasn’t too dense and cooked perfectly.
The tiramisu dessert was a fantastic end to our dinner.
Worth a try if you’re looking for an italian, well priced restaurant in Melbourne CBD.

If youre up for a quick bite in the city and pizza is your thing, check out Sopranos in Southbank. With plenty of pizzas and pastas to choose from and all reasonably priced, you wont walk away hungry!
We went for an antipasto starter which was a great sharing plate. Followed this with a Mexican pizza and their chicken and Mushroom creamy pasta. If youve still got room left try the chocolate mousse! Wont disappoint!
I was intrigued to be invited to Sopranos as I lived opposite the restaurant for many years and on account of never being home only had takeaway from there once. Eating in was an interesting experience, I am out for dinner almost every night and have never seen a place so packed of a Monday! It was so full I couldnt believe it and the waitress did a great job in spite of the numerous customers.
To start we ordered the fried calamari. This lacked seasoning in its entirety for me and I didnt enjoy the dish. Luckily it was onwards and upwards from there as both main and dessert were superb.
We decided to share a pasta and a pizza for the second course; pesto gnocchi and the avocado chicken pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. Pesto can sometimes be too oily but this one was perfectly flavoursome and creamy. The pizza was old school style thick based yumminess with a generous topping of chicken, pineapple and avocado drizzled in bbq sauce. Very satisfying indeed.
Dessert wise the chocolate pizza was the obvious choice. This had a perfectly crispy base and was super decadent.
Conveniently located near crown casino its the perfect casual family friendly Italian meal
A trusty family-friendly pizza and pasta joint that is perfect for locals seeking a hearty midweek meal or workers nearby seeking a casual lunch. With a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, everyone will find the perfect thirst-quenching accompaniment to their generously-sized pizza, pasta or main meal. To start with, the Fried Calamari is surprisingly good, with stringy pieces of calamari encased in a thick, crunchy batter that can be dipped in the accompanying aioli/tartar sauce.
Pastas offer an impressive variety, with the type of pasta totally up to the customer to choose to go with any of the pasta sauces/fillings. Our choice of the Soprano Sausage with fettucine delivered tasty slices of sausage, however the napoli-based sauce for this pasta needed lots more flavour/seasoning.
The Pollo Funghi was our second pasta choice, with gnocchi, and tasted deliciously creamy with sufficient chicken, mushroom and spring onions throughout the sauce.
Pizzas range from traditional to gourmet, served atop a sufficiently thick-sized base that is not dissimilar to those at La Porchetta, but is a bit better than the franchise restaurants. The Angelo was one of the recommended choices by the staff, and they were right, though only suitable for those who enjoy something a little different, with pineapple on their pizza!
Dessert includes premade tiramisu and a Nutella pizza – go for the latter if you had to choose one, though a scooping of ice cream on the Nutella pizza would go down a treat if they are looking for any other suggestions.
A good Italian, family-friendly restaurant to visit if in the area and want something affordable and enjoyable.
