Tugged in the back of the Southbank riverside restaurants strip, this place offer a great brunch menu with asian influence. The dishes are beautifully presented. Currently a hidden gem on weekend, so no need to queue up yet, but I’m sure it will be another popular place very soon.

New addition to the area. Very busy indeed! Coffee was good. Was excited to try the jaffles menu. Service was quite slow but it seemed like they were still new and trying to figure things out. Tried the egg and bacon jaffle. Love the addition of pickles and pretzels. I look forward to trying some other varieties.

I really wanted to love Workshop Bros coz they decor is so gorgeous and the service is really good. Sadly The food was just ok, thats why I gave it a 3. It wasnt terrible, but its just ok.

Let me start from the beginning. We ordered beef cheek w croissant, okonomiyaki and a burger.

The beef cheek croissant comes with poached eggs but they kindly allowed us to change it to fried eggs much to kiddos delight. The beef cheeks were tender, the pear salad cuts the fattiness of the beef (although its a bit spicy for one of the kiddos- no points deducted for that though, he is just weak!). Sadly the croissant was not good, I was expecting buttery flakey goodness but it was quite hard and with the sauce soaking through it, a bit chewy as well.

My okonmiyaki Was a bit oily and a bit blackened. I expected it to be panfried but they actually pan fried then deep fried it, so it was oily central. That being said i do quite like the flavour (expect for the oily bits) and wished they would just leave it pan fried and not do both.

Hubby said his burger was average which was so sad considering it was $27 for a burger ($20 for a basic burger plus $7 extra egg and bacon)

I quite enjoyed my soy mocha and I so wanted this place to be yummy cos there are seriously NO nice cafes in Southbank. I hope they improve (and hopefully have some high chairs as well!)
