A small and busy Vietnamese restaurant in Springvale! The main dish to order is the Vietnamese spicy noodles soup called Bun Bo Hue. The broth was delicious, and It was really similar to the original broth in Vietnam! The other dishes were normal average food, such as spring rolls, Vietnamese fried chicken, etc…! Restaurant atmosphere was very crowded on the weekend and small tables (not recommend for big family lunch or big family dinner)! service was a little slow! Food price is cheap and affordable!
Order: Bun Bo Hue dac biet (special). Nam Giao is definitely among the best, if not the best place (at least in Springvale South) to go for a classic Bun Bo Hue. The BBH special contains a larger variety of meat and other ingredients. The broth tastes very nice with the well cooked noodles. This is now my go-to BBH place. The restaurant itself couldve been easily improved in both table arrangements and service. Because of the typical Asian/Vietnamese environment and owners, the business lacks contemporary skills in customer service. Highly recommended!
The traditional Vietnamese dishes are located in the vietnamese dominated suburb of Springvale! And on a cold/wet spring day, for lunch, we went down to Bun Bo Hue Nam Giao to fill our bellies up with authentic Vietnamese food. I’ve been coming here for about 15 years and the owner and his family run the restaurant. We love the Bun Bo Hue here – it is full of flavour, less oily and you good portions of meat! We also tried the Mi Quang and this was also very nice and the crispy crackers go together very well! It’s a great place for good traditional Vietnamese food!
