Horrible!!
Had grilled fish which was cold and oily, it shouldn’t be that oily if it’s grilled
Got a Greek salad which was literally just shredded lettuce with a tiny bit of red onion. Nothing else!
Called them back to complain and the owner asked me to explain to him how to make a Greek salad so he could write it down and make it better next time.
Wouldn’t offer a refund or a substitute for some shredded lettuce that we paid $4 for!
Chips were average nothing amazing. Dim sums were actually ok probably the only thing worth eating…
Give it a miss you’ll be better off
This place is not the best. They didn’t understand a simply offer of chips and lamb ended up with something random =( the food was okay but not worth the money.
Interesting review to do. I use to come here for lunch a long time ago. Memories came back so I thought why not. I must say I only buy burgers. I also must say I can not falter what they do! Fresh ingredients, good quality! Nailed it. Last time beef was awful:( wont be back
Last 5 years the food has always been great here. I’m not a big fan of chips or a lot of friend things but everything else here is fantastic including their charcoal spit meat.
Delicious fish & chips. These probably have to be the
best fish & chips Ive had in Melbourne. Everything is super crunchy and
crispy. Good potato cakes, battered sausages, good everything. Fast, friendly
service with really good prices. Never had an order messed up, highly
recommended. Only downfall is the limited car parking outside the shop.

Best Souvas around for miles. Captain Mako makes the best Souvas around for miles – the free prawn crackers on the counter are a bonus – chips are delicious with the option of chicken salt – I look forward to my weekly Souva and think its delicious.
Disappointing after reading a review which praised the food there. The fish was nice, but the chips, potato cakes and scallops were soggy and you could taste the oil which left a bad taste in your mouth. Not good for a food place. The opinion was unanimous amongst the three of us that shared the meal.
