Marks are given for the smoothing music and nice interior decor for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Springvale area. It’s less central too so it was less crowded here. The bun rieu and bun bo hue I had were both very well done and value for money. Only downside are the the staff who look like they don’t want to serve you and not even a thank-you after payment. The food itself I would come back for though.
I have always been a fan of the BBH at Co Do in Sunshine, so I was quite excited when I came across this in Springvale. Service was nice and quick, and there were many options to choose from on the menu. My friends and I ordered the Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet, three colour drinks, and a coconut smoothie. The flavours were there but it lacked the spiciness BBH is meant to be known for. It tasted quite similar to the one in Sunshine but I felt like it was still lacking something. The broth wasn’t as thick as more traditional BBH and it lacked a strong beefy flavour. Overall, a satisfying meal but not sure if I’d return.
