We went for lunch on a Wednesday and the place was nearly full, which is quite impressive for springvale.

Service was great, efficient and friendly.

We both chose the roast and noodles option since all the reviewers said their roast is amazing. I really liked the noodles, both the dry and soup version, and the portion was HUGE, the boyfriend couldn’t even finish his and he loves noodles. The roast pork was delicious, salty and crunchy, however the duck wasn’t great, it tasted like old duck that had no flavor at all. My xa xiu was ok, but a little dry and overly sweet.

Will come back to try their other dishes.

Out of the abundance of roast pork that my boyfriend has eaten all over Melbourne, Golden Chopstix roast pork is definitely up there he even got an extra tub to take away for lunch tomorrow. We were firstly surprised how fast the food came out and the service was very happy, welcoming & friendly (you guys are great!). The salt & pepper tofu, chicken wings, spring rolls and roast pork were all very tasty and crispy and the broth in my noodle soup was perfect with bouncy noodles. We had vegetable dishes too which all had fresh veggies and we enjoyed partaking in the several condiments on the tables (I think it was a sweet red bean sauce that my friends were obsessing over) we will be back. I recommend trying this restaurant!

Ordered two roast with rice which was roasted duck and BBQ pork and also ordered the pipis in XO sauce. The roast duck was delicious, would have hoped for more meat on the roast but was tasty, BBQ was top notch and tasty, highly recommend, pipis were nice and the Chinese donut was spot on, overall food was tasty. If you ever eat here order their roast meats

    Thanks for the meal!

Ordered honey chicken and 3 x roast with dry noodles.

I felt that the honey chicken could have a been more sticky but nonetheless still satisfied my honey chicken cravings. The dry noodle serving was slightly less than your average serving in Springvale but felt just enough. The noodles were Al dente cooked with just the right bitem The roast were all nice a juicy too as expected from the competition in Springvale. Overall not too bad. Will be back for takeaway roast!

Needed to get a whole roast duck for dinner tonight. We decided to try Golden Chopstix (part 6 of 7 of our Springvale blitz). The roast duck was very competitively priced but be aware that its overall size is slightly smaller than other places. Having said that though, the duck was well seasoned and meaty – nothing worse than a bony duck. The skin was not overly fatty and the accompanying sauce was quite unique.
We also bought some Chinese sausage which was sweet and savoury.
Ok, one last stop before we head on home. We had cravings for something sweet so it was off to Ben Tanh Hot Bread and Cakes for our final stop!

Peking duck and crispy pork belly isnt hard to find in Springvale. Theres a million places you can go to. Ive never seen this place before but I drove past and saw a massive line. Massive line? Count me in. I waited to get the Peking duck and crispy pork belly and tbh to my surprise it was quite cheap. Other places Ive been to in Springvale costs an arm and a leg for half a duck. They cut the meat up in front of you like any other store and in and out you go

The Peking duck was delicious. I liked the amount of meat there is on the duck. Dont you hate it when you buy duck and all you get is bones. The duck didnt have that bloody gamey taste to it. It always wasnt too oily. It was just juicy and tender!

Next we had tried the roast pork belly. I loveeeee roast pork belly. I literally crave it everyday. It brings me to my happy place. So was this going to be my go-to roast pork belly if my mother is lazy to cook. I would say it is in my top 5 favourite pork belly Ive bought from Springvale. I wouldnt say its my favourite. The crackling was a bit dull. Needed more of that ASMR crunch, ya feel. The meat itself was very inconsistent. Some pieces were actually very juicy and moist and some others were slightly over cooked and chewy.

So will I return? Yes for the duck, No for the pork belly.
