Kung Fu Tea was our 4th stop (out of 7) during our Springvale blitz. While we were on a roll with good quality grub from Pho Hung, Golden Lake and Minh Duc, we hit a roadblock at Kung Fu Tea. The depressingly quiet atmosphere in-store should have been a dead give away but we persisted anyway.
The main issue we had was with the pearls. They were far too soft and gooey. Some of the pearls were clumped together and for a bubble tea addict like me, that’s a huge no no. The drinks themselves were pretty standard – the sugar and ice levels were adjustable.
With a huge number of bubble tea stores around it, Kung Fu Tea has got to lift its game. After a disappointing time here, we felt we needed to make amends so our 5th stop was at Rainbow Coffee….catch you there!
