Little Turkish market with a bakery right up the back sells various baked goods. Their baked goods on offer today were restricted, maybe they were sold out on their popular items for the day or it was a bad time of the week to get them (Sunday). I was left with little choice and ended up getting the potato gozleme. The lady warmed it up in the large oven and cut it up for me, placed in a paper bag. The gozleme was a bit flakey, mostly doughy with strips of potato in between the pastry. It was a really heavy meal that I had to grab a Vietnamese ice coffee to wake me up before I slip into a coma. Would have loved to sample their other items as this was the last item I would have chosen.

They make the best borek, gzleme and lahmacun! The staff are also really lovely.
If you get a chance to check this place out make sure you get in there early because they usually sell out of their baked goods.
Delicious and great value!. Went for lunch today with two friends. The service was fast and friendly and we couldn’t believe how cheap the food was! I had the cheese and spinach gozleme and an eggplant pie – both were delicious and great value at $8 for both. My friends each got a meat Turkish ‘pizza’ -at $2.50 each these were an absolute bargain, but both friends agreed that next time they’d order 2 each. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Meydan to others.
As my first time visiting this place it was a fantastic experience! I was excited that they had my favorite Turkish soft drink ‘Uludag’!!!.. You first enter the shop which looks like a mini supermarket who sell imported goods such as nuts, spices, grains, biscuits, seasonings, sweets etc. The kitchen is at the back where we were served by the sweetest lady!!! We had take away lahem ajun with chilli & lemon, burek & gozlem. They also had cheese and spinage pides & other varieties. Food was freshly hand made and warm and amazing for a decent cost!! Will be going back 100%.
Yummy Turkish Pastries. If you like pastry type foods and Middle Eastern cuisine, this bakery/market is definitely worth checking out. They make fresh lahmajun (Turkish pizza), pide (pita) with fillings and borek (round filo pastry with fillings). The sujuk pide and pastirma pide are to die for!
Meydan Market is family owned business (very friendly people), besides their bakery section, they also sell a great range of imported goods and groceries if you would like to do your daily shopping while you are waiting for your hot and fresh food from the bakery and the pricing is very reasonable. By the way, please do not expect restaurant or cafe ambience, as it is a grocery store / bakery so it is for take away / pick up but i give it 5 stars for their delicious foods and friendly service. Meydan Market is definitely the hidden gem in its area!
