I was there today with family and we ordered the crab meat noodle soup as well as the fish noodle soup. Beautiful flavours, good prices and friendly staff. Overall, a very nice experience and I would definitely recommend!
Was feeling adventurous , so me and my mates decided to try this place out .
Ordered be spicy beef noodles
And was not disappointed
Amazing beef and had a real good kick with the heat
Would recommend this place to some Muslims as it’s halal af
We had the Spicy Beef Noodles, good quality beef, nice spicy kick but the disappointment here is why is nothing like the photos in the menu? Noodles had no extra salad like it shows in the menu. Malaysian Curry Puff that tasted like its been fried 3 times over, also didn’t look like the menu with layered pastry. Papaya Salad’s shrimp taste was too much for me. It was very noisey in the restaurant because of the drink mixer constantly whirring at the front counter.
I really wanted to give this humble little Halal restaurant a higher rating but the food that we had on our visit missed the mark by a long shot after a reasonably lengthy wait time.
Service received from both young wait staff was fantastic though.
Hopefully I will try again in future, have the pho and be able to give a better rating but I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
SERVICE: 3/5
Fairly quiet restaurant during a late Saturday lunch time we were there (about 3 other tables). Greeted immediately and service from young gentleman was efficient and helpful. Then the wait began, I’m pretty certain it was about 30mins for our 2 simple mains and an entree. 30mins is a lifetime in Springvale!
FOOD: 2.5/5
CRISPY HAINAMESE CHICKEN- hubby’s go to dish at Vietnamese restaurants as it’s simple and not hard to get right. Their version came with rice, broth soup, and two side sauces. This dish usually comes with a red rice that’s soft and tasty. I could tell immediately the rice was not going to be great. This one certainly wasn’t jasmine rice, it may’ve been basmati and quite dry. Asian rice should not have any crunch to it.
Chicken was cooked perfectly crisp, sauces were a great accompaniment.
SEAFOOD LAKSA – Much fishier tasting than I’m used to and something didn’t quite smell very fresh. The seafood in it was quite basic, the frozen kind – prawn, calamari and white fish along with a few slices of tofu. Noodles used were the thick vermicelli type that are often found in Bun Bo Hue. Unfortunately these ones had somehow broken up in shorter strands rather than long noodles that you slurp up with the broth.
SATAY CHICKEN SKEWERS – Peanut sauce was quite tasty but it still couldn’t save the overly dry chicken pieces. They must’ve fried or used a griller for the chicken first and doused the satay on top. Would’ve been much nicer cooked on the grill plate with the sauce brushed on and then extra upon serving.
DECOR & AMBIENCE: 2.5/5
Quite dark and drab. Relatively clean and not as cramped as some other restaurants so kids will probably be more comfortable here. Walls are lined with images of teas and smoothies however many beverage options on menu were N/A.
KID FRIENDLY: Yes
I came across this little family owned gem on the main road of bustling Springvale earlier this year, and since then its become my family’s go to place, for those nights where coming up with a dinner solution is just too hard or just a nice evening out with the family.
The menu consists of a range of authentic Vietnamese cuisines which include the signature beef pho, curries, stir-fries, other soups, fried rice and more. They also have a range of fresh fruit juices and smoothies, similar to the ones at PappaRich, which are really good!
The meals are great value for money. We tend to only spend around $40, which includes an entree and a couple of mains which we get to share and usually end up with some to take home for the next day.
So if you’re after a hearty meal that’s great value for money and made with love, this is the place to go!

Nice little humble place, but don’t let it fool you, their food really packs a punch. Ordered the beef fried rice and was rather pleased! Flavours were all there and the serving size was so big. Really impressed me. Their service was prompt and polite. Recommend.
