Got a couple of roast meats takeaway to tide me over for a few days. Originally I was going to get it from another joint but they were already cleaning up before closing time. I got the dynamic duo of roast pork and roast duck, that of which I’ll eat at home over steamed rice.
The roast duck was pretty lean, I do like it a little fattier as that’s where it packs the most flavour. The duck in the container was swimming in it’s own marinade sauce so regardless it was still pretty tasty. A dash of their chilli oil elevates it to the next level. Their roast pork was also pretty decent however this time it was fattier than usual, some pieces just had fat and crackling! It was pretty good though but I do like mine to be evenly spread. Crackling was nice and crunchy but obviously does not retain it the next day, best to eat it fresh.
Lovely owners, wouldn’t hesitate to grab some more roast meats here.
